Clowns in Town

“Come one, come all, come over to the Little Big Top,” Joy’s mother read in the newspaper that the outdoor circus was in town. Joy said, “I sure wish I could go, but my science project still isn’t finished yet!  I’ve been working on it for weeks and all of my classmates have theirs done already.  Why does it take me so long to complete school assignments?”  Her mother was reassuring, “I’ll get the paint and glue and I can help with the final touches.”  Together they were done in no time and Joy’s mother bought tickets for the last show.  Joy was soon off to the circus – the funny clowns and performing bears could always make Joy laugh.
