The Play's the Thing!

Stage hands were needed for the upcoming production Snow White at the outdoor “Little Stars Theatre.”  Joy volunteered – she always loved that fairy tale and was willing to work hard.  “I’m here to help with the play Snow White and the Seven Dorfs,” Joy told the director.  “You mean seven dwarfs,” the director corrected her.  “Didn’t I say that?” Joy responded.  “No, but I can give you some speaking lessons for proper pronunciation,” said the director who was also the school speech teacher.  Despite being a pretty good speaker, Joy welcomed this extra tutoring.  At the theatre, Joy assisted the director who in turn provided speech therapy for Joy.  Who knew “the play’s the thing” to help Joy achieve better speech?!!
